Smart design - what the world needs now

Feature article

The Design Institute of Australia's Smart State Designer of the Year Award acknowledges a career of design excellence. In 2008 the Award went to Rob Geddes, who was selected by a panel of international, national and Queensland-based designers and industry professionals.

Rob Geddes has always wanted to create things, so from school he went to university and studied industrial design. As one of the founders of PROdesign, a Brisbane-based company, Rob has spent the past 27 years designing and creating everything from novelty pool equipment to boats to medical equipment.  read more...

Science on Saturday is a series of hands-on science workshops for children aged 7-14. The program is delivered by CSIRO on behalf of the Queensland Government.
